About Us

Our Story

Kshamya began with
two sisters, Priyamvada and Rajshree, who grew up watching India's textile
craft quietly slip out of everyday life and decided to bring it forward into
natural fabrics. It was born from a simple belief - Indian craftsmanship
deserves to be worn, lived in, and reimagined for today.

We work with the
artisans who still carve motifs on blocks by hand, still weave Bhagalpuri silk
the slow way, and still believe a garment can carry a story instead of just a
size. We take that inheritance and shape it into something new - modern
silhouettes, easy to live in, impossible to mistake for anything mass-made.

Our Philosophy

We could make more. Faster, cheaper, forgettable. We choose not to.

Every Kshamya piece is made in limited numbers, because something made
with care shouldn't look like everything else on the rack. We'd rather you own
one piece you reach for again and again, than ten you forget by next season.

Make fewer. Make better. Make it worth keeping.

Meet the Founders

Two sisters, two very different ways of seeing. One trained to understand global fashion, the other trained to
understand structure and space. Yet both arrived at the same question: what if
Indian craft did not have to choose between its heritage and the world as it is
today?

Priyamvada spent years within the world of global retail, observing how
the world discovers, experiences, and buys fashion. She kept returning to a
quiet frustration: India has an extraordinary textile legacy, yet its craft
rarely gets to take centre stage.

Rajshree, an architect by training, saw garments as she saw buildings:
through structure, proportion, balance, and integrity.

Kshamya is what happens when those two ways of seeing come together.A meeting of Indian craft and contemporary design, where heritage is
not preserved in the past, but given space to belong to the present.

Our Process

Long before a Kshamya piece reaches you, it begins in the hands of
artisans in Jaipur and Bhagalpur. People who have spent a lifetime perfecting
their craft, print after print, thread after thread. Nothing about that process
is rushed. A block is pressed by hand, carefully, again and again for each
colour, until a pattern slowly comes to life across the fabric, almost as if it
was always meant to be there.

That is the part we never want to lose. The tiny imperfections, the
little variations, the human touch left in the weave. They are not flaws to
hide. They are a reminder that someone made this, by hand, just for you.

Quality & Craftsmanship

Look closely and you’ll notice it: a print slightly off register, a
texture that shifts beneath your hand, a stitch placed by someone, not
something. We didn’t design that out. We designed everything else around it,
modern cuts, thoughtful tailoring, fabrics chosen to move with you, so the
craft could remain exactly as human as it has always been.
